(03) Before you write

What size of project do you take on?

Mostly new houses between 150 and 600 m², substantial renovations, and small hospitality or cultural buildings. We occasionally take on a single room if it is the right room.

Do you work outside California?

Our work is concentrated on the California coast and high desert, within a day’s drive of the studio, so that a principal can be on site every week.

How are fees structured?

After a paid feasibility study, fees are set as a fixed sum per stage, agreed in writing before each stage begins. In this fictional concept, no figures apply.

Can we visit the studio?

Yes — by appointment, usually on Thursday afternoons. Bring photographs of your site and anything you love.
